Daniela Ferrati, piano

Daniela Ferrati received her degree in piano from the Conservatory G.Rossini of Pesaro and continued her studies specializing herself with M.Totaro, E.Verona, M.C.Carini, A.Rebaudengo, P.N.Masi and C.Butzberger.

Rewarded in national and international piano competitions she worked for Spoleto Festival, Teatro Stabile of Veneto, Teatro Due of Parma and Teatro Stabile of Torino collaborating with directors like Piera degli Esposti, Eugenio Allegri e Henning Brockhaus.

With the Trio Diaghilev ( two pianos and percussion instruments whose repertory includes most of the greatest 20th century musical masterpieces ) she has been selected “for special merits” and invited to play in many and important Festivals (Palazzo Doria Pamphili-Musica 2000-Cidim Roma, Sala Greppi-Bergamo, Palazzo dei Priori-Fermo, Teatro Rossini-Pesaro, Teatro Sperimentale-Ancona, Sagra Malatestiana-Rimini, Associazione Scarlatti-Napoli, Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti-Roma, Gioventù Musicale Italiana-Milano, Rossini Opera Festival Pesaro, Autunno Musicale- Como, Internationales Iffeldorfer Meisterkonzert- Ifferdorf, Amici della Musica-Ancona, Moore Theatre- Seattle; Futuroma in the opening night for the celebrations of the centenary of the futurist movement- Roma, XLuna for the celebrations of the fortieth anniversary of the landing on the moon-Roma) receiving enthusiastic approval both from public and from critics.

The Trio Diaghilev also worked with some important dance companies (The Italian ballet Company conducting by Carla Fracci and Beppe Menegatti, Dance Theatre of Torino conducting by Matteo Levaggi and The Spectrum Dance Theatre of Seattle conducting by Donald Byrd) and taken part in the radio recording RAI (“Radiotre Suite”-Roma, Salone del Lingotto -Torino) as "invited guests of honor ".
They recorded Le sacre du printemps, Petrushka by I.Stravinsky, and Der Wunderbare Mandarin by B.Bartòk for Taukay Edition-Udine distributed by Eroica Label.

With "Sottomondo Urbano" ensemble ( Soprano, flute, and piano) she has been selected to take part in the Junta de Andalucia’s musical festivals also playing several performances in 2003 and 2005 and recorded the CD published by DNA Records with works of Garcia Lorca, Kurt Weill, Manuel Quiroga, Gorge Gerswhin.

She worked for Wexford Festival, Rossini Opera Festival, and Macerata Opera Festival as repertorist. She graduated with honours in philosophy from the University of Urbino.
